COSMIC CLOUDS

A series of soft, suspended sculptures created by hand-sewing recycled plastics, mylar, dyed fabrics, and tissue paper on to wire structures.

This body of work I created shortly after graduating from my BFA program, pushing the idea of transforming raw materials into something mystical, using sewing and quilting techniques in an intuitive, abstract way, and also diving deeper in to the idea of creating tangible “painterly” sculpture installations.
